PluggedInVa - Manufacturing Technology Cohort Set to Start Nov. 2nd. Applications due on the 20th of October.

PluggedInVA is a career-pathways program that helps adults earn industry-recognized credentials while, at the same time, training them in valuable workplace skills that include: teamwork, communication and collaboration, and self-management.
PluggedInVa provides an opportunity for adults to start a successful career path in a high demand field that they may not otherwise have. For more information on on PluggedInVA and its various programs across Virginia, please visit the PluggedInVA website.

New English Class in Lynchburg

We are excited about our new partnership with Nuevo Amanecer Thomas Road Baptist Church. An English class will begin September 29th, Tuesday and Thursdays from 6:00-9:00pm in room TRBC 1461A.

The new student orientation and class registration is from August 17-21. Please see class sites for respective schedules. New classes begin the following week, beginning on August 4. Make those goals a reality this year and rise to the possibilities.

January Highlight: Giving Up is Not an Option!

Name: Anitra Turner
Age: 42
Anitra completed the GED program through Adult Continuing Education of Central Virginia near the end of 2013 and obtained her GED credential.
She had dropped out of school during her ninth grade year to help raise her niece. She now feels inspired and empowered to know that she has finally accomplished what she had set out to achieve over twenty years ago.

Happy New Year!

Resolutions are usually made this time of the year. Whether your resolution is to get a high school equivalency credential (GED Credential), a job, brush up on work readiness and computer skills, improve reading, writing, or communication in English, to entering post-secondary education or training, we can help you with the process. No time is better than now. All classes will resume on the 12th of January. There is a class near you.
