ACE (Adult Continuing Education) of Central Virginia provides adult education services to six school divisions through a regionalized program. The region consists of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, Campbell, and Nelson counties and the City of Lynchburg.
The region covers an area of 2,613 square miles with a population of just over 245,000.
In this region, an average of 22% of residents age 25 years and over do not have a high school diploma or GED® credential, compared with a state average of 14%.
